The original bed rail hook plate ribbed through the wood on my bed rail. I purchased these hook plates hoping that they would work to fix this problem, and they worked out great. I am not very experienced in wood working repairs, but I must say this was quite easy for me to repair. I did use some glue to set in place since the original ripped through the wood, and also used a couple of screws to hold in place, I have been using the repaired rail for 2 months now and it is holding well.TyMy side rails on my bedI do custom steel work and I got contracted to make a set of custom bed rails. I ordered these because that was the style of the rails that they had. I didn't use the pins to install them I welded them in. They were slightly bigger than the ones that had been on the bed but I'm guessing that was because they were universal so it gave you a couple of different kind of fit ups.
